The secret ingredient that brings this smoothie to a next level is chlorella. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s time to make some search and start experimenting with this magic ingredient. Chlorella is an all-natural supplement that boosts your energy, supports fat loss and helps detox heavy metals like mercury and lead from your body. It is high in protein and other essential nutrients; when dried, it is about 45% protein, 20% fat, 20% carbohydrate, 5% fibre, and 10% minerals and vitamins. Its rich green color comes from high concentration of chlorophyll. It will make your smoothie not only super nutritious but also very pretty.
If you don’t like its taste, try to hide it behind maple syrup, vanilla, or anything healthy that comes to your mind.

Serving size : 2 persons
- 1 medium banana
- 1 apple
- 1 cup yoghurt
- 1/2 tbs sunflower seeds
- ½ tbs flaxseeds
- A pinch of salt
- 1/3 cup ice cubes
- ½ tsp chlorella
- Seeds and fruits to decorate and add more taste and nutrition values
Peel and cut the apple and banana in big chunks
Put all the ingredients on the blender and blend for 1-2 minutes.
Pour into serving glasses and enjoy.
This smoothie is a little bit thick, you may add some water if you prefer it thinner. Feel free to add a bit maple syrup, honey or dates if you like it more sweet.
