Peanut butter smoothie

 

There is a very nice place in Tirana, called “The Funky Moustache”, where they make really nice smoothies and fruit juices. They changed their menu lately and added also peanut butter smoothies. So delicious  it’s something between a smoothie and a dessert, so whenever you want to treat yourself with a sweet delight, enjoy this smoothie.I haven’t asked the guys about the recipe. I just drank my smoothie slowly, and tried to guess the ingredients. I know it would have been easier to ask, but I kind of consider guessing recipes as a riddle, and enjoy the whole process so much.

I don’t know if I am close to the ingredients that they use, but the taste and texture is almost the same. I skipped the flaxseed at the top that they add and replaced with black sesame seeds, which is my obsession for the moment.

As every smoothie it takes a maximum of 5 min to prepare, but will fuel you with nutrition values and energy for hours.

 Time : 5 min

Serving size : 2 persons 

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 e 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 2 tsp peanut butter
  • 3 tbs old fashioned oatmeal
  • 1/2 tsp tumeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup ice cubes
  • Few sesame seeds

Note : 1 cup – a standard cup of 240 ml

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender and blend for few minutes
  2. Pour in serving glasses, sprinkle a little bit of black sesame seeds and enjoy.
