Sweetened condensed milk truffles are truly a little piece of heaven. So white, so sweet, so cute 🙂 almost too pretty to eat 🙂
They contain only two ingredients and are really easy to make. I make them two ways, cooked and not cooked. The non-cooked version is easier to make, but they tend to get soft and lose their shape, as soon as they come out of the fridge.
Same as black chocolate truffles, the sweetened condensed milk truffles make great edible gifts.

Sweetened condensed milk truffles cooked
Yield 20 - 30 trufflesÂ
Ingredients
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tbs butter
- 1& 1/2Â cups desiccated coconut
Instructions
- Mix butter and sweetened condensed milk and stir vigorously over medium-low heat.
- Cook the mixture, stirring constantly until it starts to thicken. One way to check it is to run a spatula in the middle of the cream and if it takes a while for the mixture to come together it is ready. It usually takes me 10-12 minutes, but this depends on your stove and if you're cooking with gas or electricity.
- Add 1 & 1/4 cup of coconut and mix.
- Pour into a dish and let cool to room temperature for few minutes then put it chill a few minutes in the fridge to chill.
- Remove from fridge and with a teaspoon roll out balls of the mixture.
- Roll on the remaining coconut.
- Keep in the refrigerator and bring them out before serving.
