Confession, I’ve always been a geek, even when I was a little girl that could barely read. I wanted to stay home all day, play by myself, watch TV and read, yesss READ. My mother would literally force me to go outside and play with my friends, so I could also train/gain my socializing skills. Thank you mother
The urge to learn more or get lost in writers fantasy is something that came very natural to the kid version of me, and proved to be very rewarding in my adult life.
In the last years I somehow lost my connection with books. I was reading, but not regularly, and not a lot. Since I consider reading one of the most powerful tools to make me a better person and also I enjoy reading so much I happily joined the Goodreads book challenge, committing to read 20 books in 2018.
I thought it will be difficult to keep the pace, when I was moving to Ireland, but karma is a good girl, and things played out. I have a long commute here in Ireland, so I use the time on the bus to read or listen to audiobooks.
I mostly read on kindle and I like it more than books, it’s better to have all your library in your pocket than just one book, you can get the books you want in literally few seconds, you can read when it’s dark etc. I’ve also started to listen to audiobooks and it was something I wish I had done before. I hesitated because I thought it would be difficult to focus, but this wasn’t the case. I’ve listened to several audio books this year (not fiction books) and loved the experience.
If you’re curious to follow my reading journey follow me on audible, the account is under my name Ejona Varangu. I’m sharing with you my favorites, while you can find the full list in my goodreads account.
